Now where did I find that? This blog is to help me to avoid asking myself this question while doing family history research.

Did I find Manuel Soares’ World War I Draft Card?

Following the suggestion of GenSmarts, I searched Ancestry.com’s World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918 database. I searched Manuel Soares with his birth year as 1887. There are 5 results with one that seems to be right. The only difference is the birth date. According to the San Francisco Passenger List his birthdate is the 2nd of April 1887. This record has the 24th of April 1887. His place of residence is listed as Waialua, Hawaii in 1914. This is the same location as the 1910 census. I have attached a copy of the draft card in case this is truly him. I am inclined to believe that this is a match. The only difference is the birth date, which is another secondary source.
